!Cognitive biases of the different stakeholders : Don't blame the data

As product managers, we rely heavily on gathering data in order to make product and business-related decisions. But even with the best intentions at heart, many times our decision-making is affected by inherent biases and preconceived notions - not by empirical data.

This is a universal pain across organizations. 

 

In this talk, we will reveal the most prominent cognitive biases and explore mitigation tips to make better data-driven decisions.     I do like the way you have presented this specific situation plus it does give me personally some fodder for consideration. On the other hand, because of just what I have experienced, I just hope when other opinions stack on that individuals continue to be on point and not start on a soap box associated with the news of the day. All the same, thank you for this excellent piece and while I can not go along with it in totality, I regard the perspective.
