The scope and depth of aspects of impacted individual and collective activities, range from our privacy to our education, and from our livelihood to our security. One can form dystopian or utopian views of the direction in which we are marching. This talk aims to inform the discussion.

It is rather unfortunate that over the last 10 years, the travel industry has had to take on terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, influenza, swine flu, as well as the first ever real global economic depression. Through everthing the industry has really proven to be effective, resilient and dynamic, discovering new ways to deal with difficulty. There are always fresh complications and opportunity to which the business must all over again adapt and behave.
