  One thing I'd like to say is before buying more laptop or computer memory, look into the machine within which it could well be installed. If the machine is definitely running Windows XP, for instance, a memory threshold is 3.25GB. Installing greater than this would just constitute a waste. Be sure that one's mother board can handle your upgrade volume, as well. Great blog post.
